Specialised support
A range of services tailored to your needs, from pregnancy to the postnatal period.
Antenatal midwifery support at home
Complementary support alongside your NHS maternity care.
Comfort on your own home
My antenatal sessions are offered in the comfort of your own home, providing a calm space to prepare for birth and the early weeks with your baby. Each session is tailored to your needs, combining clear information, emotional support, and professional guidance.
Alongside birth preparation, we also create space to talk through worries or concerns, supporting emotional wellbeing during pregnancy and recognising when additional support or signposting may be helpful.
The focus of each session is adapted to what is most relevant for you and your family at that time.
Some of the topics that may be explored include:
- Early bonding with the baby during pregnancy.
- Reflection on the changes that come with the arrival of a baby, both individually and within the couple relationship.
- Labour preparation and birth planning, with a flexible approach.
- What may happen during labour.
- Infant feeding preparation, respecting the different ways families choose to feed their baby.
- Emotional wellbeing and health-promoting guidance during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
- Postnatal recovery preparation.
- Specific questions or concerns.
Intrapartum support sessions
Complementary support alongside your NHS maternity care.
Whether you have your baby at home or in hospital, I offer calm, professional support during labour and the early hours after birth.
I focus on offering calm guidance, clear communication and emotional steadiness throughout the process, always working alongside — and never replacing — your midwifery or medical team.
Knowledge that make the difference
Having someone who knows your preferences and remains involved for a period of time can make a meaningful difference: helping you make sense of what is happening, supporting communication throughout the process, and contributing to a calmer atmosphere.
If you wish, I can also be with you after the birth, whether your baby is born at home or in hospital, during those first hours. This may include talking through the birth experience and, where appropriate, offering gentle, early guidance with feeding.
Support is offered subject to availability and is usually arranged in time-limited blocks (typically up to four hours). If desired and if availability allows, additional time may be added. This support is designed to offer focused, continuous support during a key period, rather than on-call availability.
Postnatal midwifery support at home
Complementary care alongside your NHS maternity and health visiting services.

Each visit is tailored to your needs, helping you feel informed, supported and confident at home.

Infant feeding
IBCLC-led infant feeding support, complementary to NHS care.
Home-based feeding support
I offer calm, home-based infant feeding support for families at all stages of their feeding journey. As a London-trained midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I support breastfeeding, formula feeding and combination feeding, always tailoring guidance to your baby, your body and your circumstances.
Support focuses on understanding what is happening, exploring the reasons behind feeding difficulties, and developing realistic, individualised plans that help you feel confident and informed in your feeding choices.
Breastfeeding
Clinical, IBCLC-led breastfeeding support at any stage — from early feeding establishment to later or ongoing challenges.
Formula feeding
Individualised support for formula feeding, with a strong focus on responsive, paced bottle feeding, infant cues, comfort and parental confidence.
Combination feeding
Specialist support for families using both breast and bottle feeding.
If feeding feels more difficult, complex or overwhelming, more specialised support is also available.
Some feeding journeys benefit from more specialised input. These sessions allow time for in-depth assessment, careful clinical reasoning and individualised planning, particularly where feeding difficulties are persistent, complex or linked to medical, developmental or early postnatal factors.
- Exploring underlying causes of nipple pain, inflammatory breast symptoms or ongoing feeding discomfort.
- Assessment of feeding effectiveness and concerns around weight gain.
- Support with milk supply concerns, including low supply, oversupply, rebuilding supply or relactation.
- Guidance following a difficult birth, prematurity or medical complications.
- Support with unsettled feeding, breast refusal or feeding aversion.
- Practical guidance with hand expression, pumping and expressing plans.
- Use of supportive feeding methods such as cup feeding or supplemental nursing systems (SNS), where appropriate.
Specialised support may include:
Where concerns require medical review or urgent assessment, this will be discussed clearly and families will be guided towards appropriate next steps, working alongside NHS care.
